Funding Opportunities
United Way CKL women’s group, United Women Helping Others Grant
Who is eligible? – Registered charities or not-for-profits OR the applicant must have a community agency project partner that is a registered charity or not-for-profit.
What will this grant fund? The goal of this grant is to help fund small projects, and/or fill service gaps, including assisting with the cost of rural outreach for small organizations with a large geographic area to cover. The project must take place in City of Kawartha Lakes and/or Haliburton County.
Last year, this grant allowed THRIL (Therapeutic Horse Riding in Lindsay) to purchase a new saddle for one of their therapy horses and bridle for another horse. These horses provide program participants with weekly emotional boosts and valuable recreational therapy. A small financial injection can have a big impact!
