United Way announces the launch of the Telecare Mona Hall Legacy Fund
The United Way for the City of Kawartha is seeking expressions of interest through a Letter of Intent and application process to apply for a newly created $5,000 grant. The Letter of Intent must be submitted to the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes by November 16th at noon. The purpose of the grant is to address an emerging or changing need in the City of Kawartha Lakes in a distinct project.
Letters of Intent will be reviewed, then invitations will be issued to a selection of applicants to submit a proposal. The applications will be reviewed starting in mid-December and the announcement of the successful candidate will be notified the first week of January.
When Lifeline Telecare closed its operations earlier this year, it provided $30,000 to United Way to create a $5,000 annual grant. The fund is named after Mona Hall, a Lindsay resident who left a bequest to Lifeline Telecare Lindsay several years ago.
