At their April meeting, the members of Women United voted to donate the funds raised from that meeting to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Kids and Kops Program. Thanks again to this amazing group of women for their contributions to our community!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes – Haliburton

What an amazing group of women! They are helping us to maintain the Kids N’ Kops program for another year! Children involved in this group get to learn about our local police services by spending the mornings for a whole week at the local stations (both City of Kawartha Lakes and O.P.P.), enjoy lunch with some officers and then participate in a daily activity with officers. The children get to build friendships with the participating police officers, which is a special opportunity for most of them. Thanks Women United!
